Mrs. Jacqueline Connor Gulledge, formerly of Ozark, died Saturday, January 24, 2026, while in the care of Aveanna Hospice in Birmingham, Alabama. She was 89 years old. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Holman Funeral Home of Ozark with Jonathan Warren of Athens, Georgia officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends Thursday morning at the funeral in Ozark from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
Jackie was born June 28, 1936, in Marianna, Florida to the late Roy Benjamin Connor and Frances Oree McCurley Connor. Shortly after her birth, her family moved to Troy, Alabama, where she spent her childhood and attended school. Thereafter, Jackie lived in Ozark from 1956 until 2019, always calling it home. In addition to being a loving wife, mom, grandmother, and great grandmother, she worked many years in the Wiregrass Area including the Dale County Probate Judge’s Office, Chevrolet Dealerships owned by Sam Dominey and Jerry Mitchell, and First South Farm Credit both in Ozark and Dothan. She frequently volunteered at her local Voting Polls. Jackie was a longtime member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and used her accounting skills to assist the Church Treasurer. Her infectious smile and southern charm will be greatly missed by family and friends. In addition to her parents, Jackie was preceded in death by her husband of 57 years, Billy Ross Gulledge; her son, Robert Michael Gulledge; two brothers, Billy and Ray Connor; one sister, Mary Ellen Connor Ward. Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Bob Carver of Birmingham; daughter-in-law, Roseanna Wilt Gulledge of Ozark; four grandchildren, Stephanie Gulledge Boartfield, Dana Gulledge (Eric) Peel, Scott (Alex) Gulledge, and Megan Riley (Jonathan) Warren; four great grandchildren, Isabella Boartfield, Quinn Boartfield, Ethan Peel, and Allison Peel. Flowers will be accepted at the service or memorials may be made in Jackie’s memory to Westview Memorial Cemetery Association, P. O. Box 484, Ozark, Alabama 36361.
