Mrs. Janice Claire Thomas Parmer, a resident of Ashford, passed away on Thursday, May 8, 2025 at her home. She was 86.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at Bluff Spring Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. James Bell and Rev. Dennis Singletary officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing.
In lieu of flowers, please make memorial contributions to the Bluff Springs Baptist Church Playground Fund, 1990 Bluff Springs Road, Ashford, AL 36312.
Mrs. Janice Parmer was born on August 8, 1938 to Clyde E. and Ida Marie Smith Thomas. She enjoyed gardening, farming, cooking, reading, and needle work. The joys of her life were making lasting memories with her family. She loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. She was a faithful member of Bluff Springs Baptist Church and she cherished precious times with her Sunday School class. She will be dearly missed by all who loved and knew her.
Mrs. Janice Parmer is preceded in death by her husband, Don Parmer; daughter, Cristie Parmer; brother in law, Lamar Parmer.
Survivors include her daughter, Cindy Robison (JD); son, Chip Parmer (Mendy); eight grandchildren, Cole Robison (Sarah), Caleb Robison (Nicole), Cody Robison (Anna), Jessica Greer, Jamie Garrett (Timmy), Isaac Miller (Tiffany), Jacob Parmer (Sarah), Joleigh Parmer; fourteen great grandchildren; three sisters, Marsha Watford (John), Rose Watford, Lynn Bauldree (Mike); brother, Charlie Thomas (Barbara); sister-in-law, Sandra Parmer; numerous nieces, nephews, and many friends.
