Mrs. Seay was born on October 11, 1946, in Abbeville, Alabama, to the late Sam and Clarice Brady Barron. She was a woman full of life who found joy in many things. She loved sewing, panning for gold in the mountains of Alaska, spending time with her friends at the VFW, working puzzles, and, especially, enjoying the companionship of her four beloved fur babies. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her family and the many memories they shared.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Larry Ross Cotton, Sr., and her brother, Charles Barron.
Survivors include her husband, John Seay; her daughter, Katherine Cotton Capshaw (Michael); her sons, Larry Cotton (Peggy) and Robert Lee Cotton; ten grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; her sisters, Nancy Spivey (Donnie) and Kathy Beaty (Danny); her brothers, Harold Barron (Wendy) and Sammy Barron (Melanie); her sisters-in-law, Windy Qualls and Deborah Lewis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made to the Veterans Relief Fund at VFW Post 1426, 1426 Taylor Road, Dothan, Alabama 36301.
Her vibrant spirit, love for her family, and enjoyment of life’s simple pleasures will remain treasured memories in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. May those memories bring comfort to her family and friends in the days ahead.
Serving as pallbearers will be Micheal Capshaw, Chase Dickerson, Allen Harvell, Nick Miller, Jose Zapatero and Lee Webb.
