Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama

     Mrs. Martha Lee Dykes Kelley, age 95, entered the presence of her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at Troy Health and Rehabilitation.

     There will be a Celebration of Life for Mrs. Kelley 2:00 P. M. Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend Dr. Eric Fuller and Reverend Phil Craddock officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Sunday from 1:00 P. M. until service time.

     Martha was born on December 14, 1930, in Dale County, Alabama. She was the daughter of Lewie Frank Dykes and Bama Lee Bowdoin Dykes. She lived most of her life in Ozark and Dale County. She was a member of Ozark Baptist Church, the Agape Sunday School Class, and the JOY Club at Ozark Baptist Church. She was also a former charter member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church in Ozark.  Martha retired in 1998 after working with Phillips Van Heusen for 46 years. After retiring, she enjoyed working in her yard, visiting family and friends, traveling, and doing volunteer work. She dearly loved her children, her grandchildren, and her sweet great-grandchildren. She was sincerely loved by her family and all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed by all.

            Martha was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, Ray E. Kelley; two sons, Donald Lane Kelley and Edward T. Kelley; her parents, Frank and Bama Lee Dykes; her two brothers, Joseph C. (Joe) Dykes and Samuel G. (Sam) Dykes; special daughter-in-law, Sharon Baker Kelley (Edward); and son-in-law, Charles H. Lucas, Jr.   Survivors include her daughter, Janice Kelley Lucas, Troy, Al; son,  Allan Kelley (Jacqueline), Asbury, AL; five grandchildren, Kelley Lucas Barron, Troy, Christopher Kelley (Soozie), Nashville, TN, Brittney Kelley Phillips (Bryant), Ozark, AL, David Kelley (Amy), Rocky Head, AL, and Daniel Kelley, Asbury, AL; seven great-grandchildren, Charli Grace and Cate Barron, Brodie, Bailey, and Brayden Phillips, and Madison and Avery Kelley; a sister-in-law, Margaret Marshall Dykes, Ozark; a brother-in-law, Reynolds Kelley (Cervina), Dothan, AL; and several nieces and nephews.

     Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made in her memory to Children’s of Alabama Foundation, 1600 7th Avenue South, Birmingham, AL 35233.
