Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama

 Mrs. Martha Nell Thompson Woodham, a resident of Ozark, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Saturday, November 8, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was 91 years old.

Funeral services for Mrs. Woodham will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2025, from Chalkhead Baptist Church with Reverend Michael Woodham and Reverend Keith Reynolds officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. Visitation will be in the church Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.  Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Oates, Dawson Daniels, Matt Starling, Dylan Hobson, Jason Woodham and Bill Sullivan.  Mrs. Woodham was born December 13, 1933 in Midland City, Alabama to the  late Madison Haywood Thompson and Kathlene Alvenia Kelly Thompson. She graduated from Midland City High School in 1952. Mrs. Woodham met and married Lewis Woodham and became a Military wife. They lived in several duty stations and returned to the Woodham Family Farm in Ozark where she retired from Civil Service Department of Defense at Fort Rucker as a Transportation Clerk. Later, she worked as a substitute school teacher.   Mrs. Woodham was a member of Chalkhead Baptist Church where she was a Sunday School teacher and Choir Director. Mrs. Woodham enjoyed farming with her husband, working in her yard and gardening. She cherished her grandchildren and was instrumental in sharing the love of Jesus Christ with each of them.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Woodham; three sisters, Lois Horne, Gwen Weeks and Hughlene Stone; and two brothers, Eldon Thompson and Ray Thompson.   Survivors include one daughter, Jenny Weber; two sons, Jonathan Woodham (Adria Werner) and Jeff Woodham all of Ozark; five grandchildren, Lara Lea Woodham, Jason Woodham, Madison Starling (Matt), Jenna Oates (Josh) and Jessica Weber; ten great grandchildren, Liliana VanDyke, Gracie VanDyke, Dylan Hobson, Noah Samper, Ana Martinez, Parker Starling,  Alice Starling, Jude Oates and Jillian Grace Oates.  Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Flowers will be accepted by the family or memorials may be made in her memory to Echo EMS, 11687 Alabama Hwy 27, Newville, Alabama 36353.
