Mrs. Mary Sue Cook Long, age 83, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away on Friday, September 11, 2026, at Southeast Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00pm on Friday, September 18, 2026 in the Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Chad Hixon officiating and Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm until 2:45 pm on Friday prior to the service.

Mrs. Sue Long was born in Dothan, Alabama on February 11, 1943, to the late Mike and Essie Donnie Kornegay Cook. Raised in the Dothan and Taylor area, she was a graduate of Rehobeth High School. Mrs. Sue worked at Chrysler First Financial Services for over twenty years before owning her own business, Quality Cleaning. She owned and operated her cleaning business for eighteen years. Mrs. Sue loved to paint and shop. She found relaxation in going to the lake or for a ride to slow down and enjoy life. Her pride and joy were her family. Mrs. Sue attended Rehobeth Baptist Church.

Mrs. Sue Long is preceded in death by her parents; stepdaughter, Candi Michelle Long; sister, Jean McCord; and brother, Jack Cook.

Survivors include her husband of thirty-nine years, Bobby Long of Taylor; son, Mike Kent (Carol) of Taylor; daughters, Paula Middleton of Las Vegas, Nevada, Kelli Sue Middleton of Taylor; stepdaughters, Stephanie Lee Long and Amanda Ann Worthy, both of Dothan; a few grandchildren; a few great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
