Patricia Ann Thomas, passed away peacefully on February 9, 2026, in Clemmons, North Carolina.

Born on November 21, 1942, in Columbus, Georgia, to the late Quinton John Capayne and Mildred Leonard Capayne. Patricia was a graduate of Jordan Vocation High School in Columbus, GA, class of 1961. Her commitment to helping others led her to further her education, and in 1994, she graduated from Wallace State College’s LPN Nursing School. Her nurturing spirit found a home as a long-time service care associate at Ward Wilson Funeral Home and Memory Hill Cemetery, where she served with grace and dignity. Patricia was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church in Dothan.

Patricia’s life was rich with love and joy, shared with her late husband, Charlie Hubert Thomas, who predeceased her. Together, they raised a family that became her pride and joy. She leaves behind a legacy through her children: daughter, Pamela Thomas-Kite and her husband, David, of Rogers, AR; sons, Roderick Quinton Thomas of Dothan, AL, and Charles Eric Thomas of Winston-Salem, NC. Her sisters, Delores Capayne Ledyard of Virginia and Deborah Capayne Willis, along with her husband, Dr. Joseph H. Willis, also survive her.

Patricia’s light shone brightest when surrounded by her grandchildren, Tyler, Tanya, and Randy Speight, all of Rogers, AR. Her guidance and love shaped their lives, and her memory will continue to inspire them. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Patricia will be held Monday, February 16, 2026 at 2 PM from the chapel of Ward Wilson Funeral Home with Reverend Doug Seale officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends from 1 PM until service time at the funeral home.
