Obituary from Holman Funeral Home of Ozark – Ozark, Alabama

Mrs. Wanda Jean Grantham Wynn, a resident of Daleville, died Monday afternoon, June 8, 2026 in Dothan at the home of her daughter. She was 89 years old.

Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be announced by  Holman Funeral Home of Ozark.

Mrs. Wynn was born March 3, 1937 in Stratford, Oklahoma to the late Henry Lee Grantham and Myrtle Ruth Glasgow Grantham. She attended Stratford High School where she excelled in basketball.  She met Alfred Wynn at a high school prom and he stole her from her date. They were married shortly after that.  Later Mr. Wynn would join the United States Army and they lived in many duty station locations until his retirement at Fort Rucker. Mrs. Wynn delivered newspapers for the Dothan Eagle and worked with Hughes Fashion Center in Daleville. Jean-Jean loved to grow a garden and can the fresh vegetables. She was not afraid to kill and dress a chicken. Wanda enjoyed her television shows; Naked and Afraid, Yellowstone, the Pickers and FOX TV.  She also enjoyed adult coloring books and puzzles.

Survivors include six children, Reva Carlisle (Steve) of Dothan, Rebecca Talcott (Mark) of Lake Elsinore, California, Regena Dheel (Billy) of Woodlawn, Tennessee, Linda Roller (Rick) of Newton, Tina Dewitt (Paul) of Mobile, and Alfred E. Wynn, Jr. (Kim) of Dothan.  10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren also survive.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in her memory to Disabled American Veterans of Ozark, P. O. Box 57, Ozark, Alabama  36361.
