Tina E. Hickman, born Ernestine Hickman on June 20, 1945, in Longville, Louisiana, peacefully passed away in her sleep on August 8, 2026, at the age of 81.
Funeral services for Ms. Hickman will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 20, 2026, in the Chapel of Holman Funeral Home in Ozark with Reverend John Smith officiating. Interment will follow in Westview Memorial Cemetery, Holman Funeral Home of Ozark directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home in Ozark Thursday from 10:00 A.M. until service time.
She was the daughter of the late Sam Hickman and Lorene Ford Hickman.
Tina attended Northwest Louisiana Technical College’s Natchitoches Campus and worked in nursing, caring for pediatric and geriatric patients. She had a special love for babies and also worked in childcare. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening, and spending time with her family. Tina was the proud mother of four children and grandmother of four. She was married to Edward Piper for 43 years.
She leaves to cherish her memory her children, Casaundra Hickman-Timpson, Tonya (Sean) Marcus, Jason (Deeadra) Piper, and Darrin Piper; grandchildren, Teun Piper Dawson, Aarmand Piper, Avery Piper, and Jordin Piper; siblings, James Hickman, Betty Green, Faye Smith, Jesse Hickman, Lee Esther Ford, Jerry Hickman, Chester Hickman, Lisa Hickman, Janice Hartsfield, and Glenn Hickman; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and loved ones. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, George Hickman; and sister, Christine Harris.
