Albert L. Hines, a resident of Grimes, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at his residence. He was 74 years old.

Military honors will be held 11 am Saturday, March 10, 2018 in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing.

Mr. Hines was born March 24, 1943 in Hillsborough Count, Florida and spent the early part of his life in Plant City, FL. He was employed as an electrician and maintenance technician with apartment complexes. He has lived in the Dothan area for the past 30 years. He loved to go fishing, watch Westerns, and ride his 1966 Harley Davidson. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Caron Hines, and his brothers, Donald Hines, Kenneth Hines, and James Hines.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Kirkland; sons, Albert L. Hines, II and Richard L. Hines; daughters, Joy Hines, Rhonda Hines, Carol Hines, Kaylin Shipley, and Beth Daniels; step-children, Anthony (Liz) Kirkland and Starla (David) Manley; 10 grandchildren, 1 great-grandchild, 5 step-grandchildren, and 9 step-great-grandchildren; sisters, Wendy Lemire and Linda (Charles) Novak; numerous nieces and nephews.
