ALFRED JEROME MONEY
SHORTERVILLE, ALABAMA . . .Alfred Jerome (Jerry) Money, a resident of Shorterville, died early Thursday morning, January 5, 2012, in a Dothan hospital. He would have celebrated his 56th birthday, Friday, January 13, 2012.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. (C.S.T.) Saturday, January 7, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel, Abbeville, AL. with Reverend Mike Lee officiating and a eulogy to be given by Benny Whitehead. Burial will follow in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 P. M. (C.S.T.) Friday at the mortuary in Abbeville.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Shorterville Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Rossie Money, 2457 County Road 91, Abbeville, AL. 36310.
Jerry Money was a lifelong resident of Shorterville where he was engaged in cattle farming most of his lifetime. He was a member of the Shorterville Baptist Church. Jerry was preceded in death by his father, Alfred E. (Knocker) Money.
Surviving relatives include his mother, Rossie Thompson Money, Shorterville, a native of Ft. Gaines, GA; aunts and uncles, Frances Anderson and husband, George, Albany, GA; Kathleen Capps; Lindy Money and wife, Mary Jane; Hawley Money and wife, Mary Ann, all of Abbeville; Rev. Robert E. Money and wife, Sydnor, Knoxville, TN; Coy Money and wife, Priscilla; Jimmy Money and wife, Lorene, and Virginia Money, all of Abbeville; numerous cousins.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Charles Money, David Money, Chris Money, Clay Money, Jo Jo Money and Mark Walker.
