Alice Elliott passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 29, 2024 at her home, surrounded by her family. She was 91.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home chapel in Geneva, AL with Rev. Reggie McAllister officiating. Burial will follow in Meadowlawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Enterprise, AL with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorial contributions be made to Friendship Baptist Church, 5434 N. St. Highway 27, Geneva, AL 36340. The family will receive friends at the funeral home beginning at 1:00 p.m.

Ms. Alice was born on February 27, 1933 in Geneva County, AL to the late Hillary Talmas “H.T.” and Eunice Sellers Elliott. She was a faithful lifelong member of Friendship Baptist Church. She faithfully served the Lord in various roles throughout her life. In her later years, Alice worked at River Junction Restaurant, along with her two sisters.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Mary Ella Medley, Catherine Elliott and Angelyn Bowdoin, one brother, Harvey Elliott and niece, Jan Bowdoin Howell.

Alice is survived by one nephew, Steve Bowdoin; three nieces, Donna Brooks, Deborah Carey and Kathy Hughes, along with several special great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special “Thank You” to her caregivers, Ms. Jawona Clay, Ms. Faye Bryan, Ms. Mary Overall and Ms. Felicia Clay, as well as Dr. John Simmons, Sr., and the staff of Southern Care Hospice.

Serving as pallbearers will be: Steve Bowdoin, Clay Howell, Jeff Howell, Jonathan Brooks, Christopher Brooks, Bud Howell and Johnny Brooks.
