ALICE  HELMS  KEY

ABBEVILLE…Alice Helms Key, a resident of Abbeville, died Tuesday, April 23, 2013. She was 59.

            Graveside services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Saturday, April 27, 2013, in the Abbeville Memorial Cemetery with Darden Kirby officiating. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.

            Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to the Abbeville Memorial Library, 301 Kirkland Street, Abbeville, AL 36310.

            Alice Helms Key was born and raised in Abbeville, daughter of the late Ted Lamar Helms, Sr. and Mamie Bethune Moring Helms. She was a graduate of Abbeville Christian Academy and lived in Abbeville most her lifetime. Alice was of the Methodist faith.

            Surviving relatives include a son, David A. Key (Stefanie), Vail, Arizona; a sister, Mary Helms Woodall (Charles), Birmingham; a brother, Ted L. Helms, Jr., Dothan; four grandchildren, Lukas Weinrach, Hannah Key, Emily Key, and Aaron Key; a niece, Catherine Barrett (Andrew), and a nephew, James T. (Jim) Woodall (Carolynn).
