Alice Lanelle Hines, of Enterprise, AL, passed away Thursday, November 14, 2024 at her home.  She was 97.

 

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 PM, Sunday, November 17, 2024 at Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory Chapel with Rev. Matt Jordan and Rev. Joel Lancaster officiating.  Burial will follow in New Brockton City Cemetery with Searcy Funeral Home and Crematory directing.  The family will receive friends beginning at 2:00 PM until service time.  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to New Tabernacle Church, 15804 Highway 27, Enterprise, AL 36330.

 

Nelle enjoyed cutting grass, picking pecans, and cooking for her family.  She also enjoyed listening to gospel music.  Nelle loved spending time with her grandsons and great-grandchildren.  She ran the business side of the farm. 

 

She was preceded in death by her husband Charles Hines and son Mike Hines.

 

Survivors include her two grandsons, Michael Hines (Jacquelin), New Brockton, AL; Stephen Hines (Megan), New Brockton, AL; two great-grandchildren, Wyatt and Allie Hines; numerous nieces and nephews. 

 

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Marie Primus, Janet Purvis, Cassidy Mulcahy, and Southern Care Hospice for their compassionate care.
