KINSEY…Alice Rich Lewis, a resident of Kinsey, died Thursday morning, February 12, 2015. She was 93.
Memorial services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 14, 2015, in the Kinsey United Methodist Church with Reverend Winston Jay and Chaplain Roger Rich officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 1:00 until 2:00 P.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Kinsey United Methodist Church, c/o Betty Spivey, 1690 Roney Road, Kinsey, Alabama 36303.
Mrs. Lewis was born and reared in Kinsey, daughter of the late James J. Huey Rich and Alva Clemmons Rich. She lived in various locations in the U.S. and also Eustis, Florida before returning to Kinsey in 1985. Mrs. Lewis was a member of the Kinsey United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Lewis, four sisters, Clara Mae Bowling, Bertha Fletcher, Cula Mae Armstrong and Gladys Brannon Raley, two brothers, J. W. Rich and Dwight Rich, and a granddaughter, Lynnette Rogers.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Shelby Rogers (Frank), Kinsey; a sister, Luverne Skipper (Haywood), Kinsey; a brother, Ray Rich (Gunell), Eustis, FL; five grandchildren, Tim Glass (Bobbie), Mickey Broadhead (Shannon), Jackie Glass, Michelle Rogers, and Randy Rogers; four great-grandchildren, Sierra Glass, Taylor Glass, Skylar Broadhead and Frankie Broadhead; a great-great-granddaughter, Addelynn Osher; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
