            Mrs. Alla B. Grimes of Enterprise, AL passed away Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the family residence.  She was 87.

            A memorial service will be held at 6 pm Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Sorrells Funeral Home in Enterprise with Reverend Joel Snell officiating.

            Mrs. Grimes was born May 29, 1924 in Columbia County, FL to the late Joe and Genia Boswell Porter.  She worked in the healthcare profession for 30 years.  She loved gardening and fishing and living in the state of Florida.  She was of the Baptist faith.  In addition to her parents, Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her husband, Roy L. Grimes, a son, Roy “Little Roy” Grimes, a daughter, Janice Simmons and 3 sisters.

            Survivors include 3 daughters: Jeanie Kilpatrick (Bill), Coffee Springs, AL, Shirley Rock, Enterprise, Teresa Lott (Billy), Winter Garden, FL; 1 son, Jackie Grimes (Angela), Clearmont, FL; 11 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren.
