Allen “Al” Raleigh Tyre, a resident of Ozark, passed away at his residence on Monday, February 28, 2022. He was 81 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, March 3, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Charles Goldsmith officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Sunset Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 1 pm-2 pm on Thursday.
Al was born on April 4, 1940 in Daytona Beach, FL to the late Alvin and Lola Tyre. He graduated from Mainland High School. Following high school, Al joined the United State Army and proudly served for 20 years before retiring. He was a Vietnam Veteran. Al graduated from Troy University with a bachelor's degree in political science. He worked as an Air Traffic Controller Instructor at Fort Rucker. Al enjoyed fishing every chance he had and helping other people.
He is preceded in death by his first wife, Ingrid Tyre and his brother, Richard.
Survivors included his wife, Margarita Tyre; his children, Marty Tyre, Michael Tyre and Tammy Tyre; his grandchildren, Savannah McCartha, Josh McCartha, Justin Tyre, Jessie Tyre, Chris Tyre, and Phillip Tyre, great-grandchildren, Hunter, Payton, Jessie, Lilly , Ryleigh, and Elizabeth; and sister, Pauline.
