Allen T. Daniels


 


Allen T. Daniels, a resident of Newton, passed away on Wednesday, December 5, 2012 at his residence. He was 81.


 


A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 7, 2012 at his residence.


 


Allen was born November 7, 1931 in Hacoda, Alabama, the son of T. A. and Minnie Daniels and lived most of his life in the Mt. Hebron Community. He was a veteran of the Korean War having served in the U.S. Army.  In 1951, he married Betty Sue Thomas and they had 7 children.


 


Allen loved storytelling, gardening and fishing. He was a very humble and giving person. He dearly loved children and displayed a content spirit in daily living while demonstrating how to live like Christ every day of his life.  


 


He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Betty Sue, a son, Ricky, his parents, and several brothers and sisters.


 


He is survived by 6 children, Sue Bledsoe (Johnny) of Charlotte, NC, Faye Lewis (Jimmy) of Dothan, Sandra Daniels (Mark)  of Columbia, Lisa Xhurri (Klaus), of Seattle, WA, Donna Anderson (Mike) of Troy, Robbie Daniels (Kelli) of Wicksburg; 10 grandchildren and  14 great-grandchildren; 3 brothers, Vlady, Tommy Glen and J. L. and 2 sisters, Ree and Shirley.
