ALLINE HAYMON AMMONS
ECHO COMMUNITY….Alline Haymon Ammons, a resident of the Mt. Pisgah community, near Echo, died Friday evening, November 3, 2017. She was 80.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Monday, November 6, 2017, in the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with Reverend Jason Whitmier officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of arrangements. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Monday in the church sanctuary.
Mrs. Ammons, daughter of the late John Thomas Haymon and Allie Penelope Bond Haymon, was a lifelong resident of the Mt. Pisgah Community. Mrs. Ammons was retired from Wex-Tex in Headland and Van Heusen in Ozark as a seamstress. She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church. Mrs. Ammons was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth Eugene “Punk” Ammons, a daughter, Linda Faye Ammons; an infant son, Ovie Ammons; a great-grandson, Steven Ammons and four sisters and four brothers.
Surviving relatives include a daughter, Barbara Jane Moore (Eric Shropshire), Newville; a son, Terry Ammons, Ozark; a sister, Edna Earl Sanders, Ariton; four grandchildren, Shasta Ward (Jeff), Tiffany Griffin (Adam), Willie Ammons, and Kenneth Ammons; several great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews including a very special niece, Emelie Woodham (Roger); a sister-in-law, Jane Potts, Dothan; two brothers-in-law, Roger Ammons (Shirley), Echo Community and Emmett Ammons (Betty), Midland City.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Chase Ward, Rashad Shropshire, Adam Griffin, Alan Moore, Joseph Ducker, Alan Strickland and Roger Woodham.
