Allison Joseph Peacock, lifelong resident of Dothan, went home to be with his Lord and Savior, on Monday, September 3, 2012. He was 94 years old.


 


Funeral services will be held at 2 PM  Friday, September 7, 2012 at Southside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Grandstaff  officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Ward Wilson Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends, at the funeral home, from 7 until 9 PM, Thursday, September 6, 2012.


 


Mr. Peacock was born on May 25, 1918, to the late Clint Peacock and Bessie Quattlebaum Peacock. On May 28, 1938, he married the love of his life, Katherine Elizabeth Clark and together, they enjoyed 68 years of marriage, until her death in 2006.


He was a charter member of Southside Baptist Church. Mr. Peacock and his late wife dedicated their time and their lives in helping to grow that church into what it is today.


 


After 31 years, Mr. Peacock retired from Tadlock Piano and Organ Company, as Sales Manager.


 


He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife and daughter, Brenda Peacock Seagers.


 


Survivors include daughters and son-in-law, Jan and Richard LeJeune, Oak Ridge, NC, and Jolene Ayers, Mesquite, TX, 5 grandchildren, Cathy Givens (Stanley), Beverly Williams (Kyle), Allison LeJeune, Jill Bosch and Josh Ayers, 3 great-grandchildren, Joey Williams, Zachary Givens and Avery Ayers.
