Mrs. Alvilda “Bubbles” Miller, age 89, a resident of Eufaula, Alabama, passed peacefully on February 18, 2016.

Bubbles was born on February 20, 1927 in Remer, Minnesota. She joins her parents Werner and Alma Haagan Free, her brother Maynard Free, her husband LTC John Joseph Miller, her sister-in-law Marie Brenner, grandson Alessandro Miller, and her daughter-in-law Lella Miller. She married her husband of 24 years, “Jack”, on August 15, 1947.

She is survived by her son, Lanny J. Miller (Huntsville, AL), her daughter Charmaine L. Thaner and her husband James Thaner (Meridian, ID), and her son Gregory J. Miller and his wife Gwendolyn Haney Miller (Abbeville, AL). Grandma Bubbles was delighted when each of her grandchildren were born, Alessandro Miller, (deceased), Christina Miller (Madison, AL), Michelle Miller, (Madison, AL), Maria Miller (Lakewood, CO), Nicole Nichol (Meridian, ID), Matthew Thaner (Denver, CO) and Dylan Thaner (Meridian, ID).

She was also so proud of her 10 great-grandchildren, Jasmine Boyer, Ethan Glascock, children of Christina Miller; Eva Yeager, Cole Yeager, children of Michele Miller, (all of Madison, AL); Nathaniel Miller, Jordan Phillips, Mackenzie Phillips, children of Maria Miller and Chris Phillips (all of Lakewood, CO); “Jack” Nichol, Keira Nichol, and Emmet Nichol, children of Nicole and Chris Nichol (all of Meridian, ID).

A graveside service will be held on Monday February 29, 2016, at 1:00 pm EST at the Military Cemetery at Fort Benning, Georgia, where she will be laid alongside of her husband “Jack” Miller.
