Alvin “Boots” Tate

 

Alvin “Boots” Tate, age 91 of Taylor went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, February 24, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 in the Family First Funeral Care Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Tate officiating.  Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Family First Funeral Care directing. The family will receive friends from 6:00 until 8:00 P.M. Monday, February 26 at Family First Funeral Care, 965 Woodland Drive, Dothan.

Mr. Tate was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend to many. He was born in the Tate Community of Geneva County son of the late William and Eula Skipper Tate.

Mr. Tate was preceded in death by a son Paul Tate, two brothers and two sisters.  Survivors include his wife Bernice Seay Tate, his daughter Cathy Enfinger (Gary), two sons, Dennis Tate (Sherrie), and Greg Tate (Denise), six grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a brother Jerry Tate (Evelyn).
