Amanda Kay Kilpatrick Murray, 34, a resident of Ariton, AL passed away following a courageous battle with Dermatomyositis/Lupus on Monday, November 17, 2014 at a local hospital.
Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Matthew Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Ozark with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 11-12:00 prior to the service at the funeral home.
Mandi was born August 13, 1980 in Ozark, AL and lived in the Ozark area most of her life. She was a 1998 graduate of Carroll High School where she was a member of the marching band. She was a homemaker and loved art and music and had recently been enjoying photography. She has lived in Ariton since 1999. Mandi's life revolved around her son, Drew, whom she loved unconditionally. She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Ora Lee Kilpatrick and Earline Payton; her aunt, Virginia Smith; her cousins, Kim Kilpatrick and Michelle Oliver.
Survivors include her son, Bryant Andrew "Drew" Murray; her parents, John and Donna Kilpatrick, Ariton; her brother, Brad (Samone) Kilpatrick, Dothan; grandparents, Julius Payton and Sallie Mae Kilpatrick, Ozark; a niece, Emma Kilpatrick; a nephew, Jaxson Kilpatrick; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
