Amanda Maejean Hardy, age 31, of Ariton, Alabama passed away Friday, May 27, 2016.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, June 3, 2016 at the Ozark Civic Center with Rev. Jim Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Woodlawn Memory Gardens with Fuqua-Bankston Funeral Home of Ozark directing.
The family will receive friends at the Ozark Civic Center Friday from 12:30 p.m. until service time.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial donations may be made to the Troy Animal Rescue Project (T.A.R.P.) 313 West Fairview St., Troy, AL 36081.
Amanda was born in San Antonio, TX on September 22, 1984. She lived in Ariton, AL most of her life and was a 2002 graduate of Ariton High School. She was a substitute teacher for the Dale County School System. She was a wonderful mother to her daughter Neviah and loved her more than anything in this world. She loved her family and loved and lived life to the fullest. She had a love for animals and worked with the Troy Animal Rescue Project (T.A.R.P.). She will be dearly missed by those she touched and loved.
Surviving family include her husband, Eric Green; daughter, Neviah Paisley Leatherwood; father, Big Wyatt Hardy (Jennifer Campbell) of New Brockton, AL; mother, Janice Hardy (Jeffery Baxter) of Ariton, AL; grandparents, Sister and Papa Hardy of Ozark, AL and Granny and Papa Chesser of Ariton, AL; a special aunt, Jeanne Emrick; and mother and father-in-law, Karla and Terry Smith.
Serving as pallbearers will be Eric Green, Bill Emrick, Brent Khneisser, Brandon Pilot, John Wayne Smith and Steve Melanson.
