Amber LeAnne “Ber” McCord, of Dothan, died Tuesday, August 2, 2022 at her residence. She was 37.
Funeral services will be held 10:30 a.m. Saturday, August 6, 2022 at Glover Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Ricky Plummer officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Hill Cemetery with Glover Funeral Home directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday.
Amber was born November 15, 1984 in Dothan to James A. McCord and Jana Hales Welch and lived all of her life in Dothan. She always had a mind of her own and was one who spoke what she thought. She was passionate about her family, especially her daughter, Hayden and was looking forward to being a grandmother! She enjoyed helping with Unified Bowling and the Miracle League. She loved Auburn football and of course, her Dr. Pepper! She will be dearly missed.
She is predeceased by her grandmother, Cherriee L. Hales “MeMe”, grandfather, Charles M. Hales “Gramps” and grandmother, Adelaid Loyacano “MeMaw”.
She is survived by her daughter, Hayden Thornton (Caleb Sherrouse) of Dothan; her granddaughter to be, Caylee Ann; parents, Jana Hales Welch (David) of Eufaula and James Allen McCord (Tina) of Dothan; brother, Stephen McCord of Dothan; grandparents, Peggy and Rudy McCord of Dothan and Fred Loyacano “Pepaw” of Dothan; a special niece, AnnaLei McCord; very special cousin, Brandi Deese and her best friend, Crystal Eubanks. She was also loved by her step-brothers, aunts, uncles and cousins.
