Amy Lynn Hemphill Adams of Samson, AL and formerly of High Springs, FL passed away on Wednesday, January 10, 2024, after an extended battle with breast cancer. She was 46 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 13, 2024, in the Sanctuary of the First Baptist Church in Samson with the Rev. Danny Branch officiating. Burial will follow in Travelers Rest Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva, AL directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
Mrs. Adams was born on February 8, 1977, to Travis Hemphill and the late Joyce Elaine Vaughn Hemphill. Amy was a devoted wife and friend to all who knew her. She was an animal lover and was happiest spending time at the beach. Amy was an avid football fan and cheered on the Alabama Crimson Tide every Saturday.
In addition to her mother, she is preceded in death by one brother, Buddy Hemphill.
Amy is survived by her loving husband, Randy Adams of Samson, AL; one son, Jacob Howell of Lake City, FL; two step-children, Hallie Adams Carroll (Josh) of Hartford, AL, and Cameron Adams of Samson, AL; one grandchild, Clarke Carroll; one sister, Lauana Bates (Tom) of High Springs, FL; two brothers, Jason Hemphill (Tara), and Billy Hemphill (Jennifer) both of High Springs, FL; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers will be Josh Carroll, Jordy Mock, Ryan Adams, Richard Crews, Scott Hill, and Keith Weeks.
