Andrew (Drew) Scott Dillard, 12, a loving son, brother, nephew, cousin, and friend, passed away at Flowers Hospital Monday, March 18, 2019. Drew was born on July 22, 2006 in Dothan, AL. He was a member of the Geneva County Middle School Honor Society, Hartford Baptist Church youth group, and 4-H where he won best in class with his prize chicken. He loved his family, Alabama Football, sports, cars, racing, LEGOs, and riding his bike. He was a kindhearted young man who loved to please others, he loved animals, and most of all he loved Jesus.


 


He was preceded in death by his paternal great-grandfather Millard Dillard of Hartford. He is survived by his father Scott Dillard, mother Amanda Dillard, and sister Faith Dillard all of Hartford. Paternal grandparents are Ricky (Jan) Dillard of Hartford, and Karen (Jerry) Yarbrough of Samson, maternal grandparents Pam (Greg) Thomas of Hartford, paternal great-grandparents Truman and Joyce Tanton of Black and Peggy Dillard of Hartford as well as many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, and family members.


 


Services will be held Wednesday, March 20th at Hartford Baptist Church with Reverend Chris Kroll officiating and under the direction of Jimmy Bottoms of Bottoms Garden Chapel Funeral Home. The family will receive friends and loved ones from 1-3 pm at Hartford Baptist Church, with funeral to follow. Interment will be at Pondtown United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to the Children's Hospital Foundation 1600 7th Ave South, Birmingham, AL 35233 and the Chronic Recurrent Multifocal Osteomyelitis Foundation 2827 Sunset View Drive, Fort Collins, CO 80528.
