Angela Gail Locklear Brown of Hartford, AL passed away on Wednesday, May 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 65 years old.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 18, 2024, at the Sardis Church Gymnasium with Rev. Tom Chestnut officiating and Robin Blackburn delivering the Eulogy. Burial will follow in the Hartford City Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church gymnasium on Saturday beginning at 12:00 p.m.

The family request that flowers be omitted and that memorial contributions be made in Angie’s memory to Sardis Church 649 County Road 67, Hartford, AL 36344.

Angie was born in Plant City, FL on September 20, 1958, to William Henry Locklear and Irene McLendon Gustofson. Angie was a member of Sardis Church and served as the church secretary for several years. She enjoyed singing, teaching the Breakfast Bunch Sunday School Class, and cooking for the Wednesday night supper. She believed in prayer and was a prayer warrior for her family, friends, and community.

She was preceded in death by her father, William Henry Locklear; stepfather, Lee Gustofson; sister-in-law, Trawa Jenkins; brother-in-law, Anthony Jenkins; father-in-law, Herman Brown; grandmother, Asalene Hughes.

She is survived by her husband, Quincey Brown of Hartford, AL; mother, Irene Gustofson; daughter, Amy Sowell (Jeremy) of Hartford, AL; son, Shane Daniel (Keisha) of Geneva, AL; four step children, Seth Brown (Melanie) of Geneva, AL, Zeb Brown (Lacy) of the Bethlehem Community, Tyla Helms (Chris) of Caryville, FL, and Caleb Brown of the Bethlehem Community; two brothers, William Henry Locklear (Kelli), and Robert Lee Gustofson (Lisa); mother-in-law, Joyce Floyd of Hartford, AL; sister-in-law, Tanga Skinner (Joe); 21 grandchildren, Luke Sowell, Noah Sowell, Brody Daniel, Latavia Duff, William Duff Jr., Chasity Duff, Shavaryae Duff, Jada Hornsby, Rebecca Brown, Titus Brown, Thaddeus Brown, Ezra Brown, Beau Brown, Quincey Jo Brown, Emma Helms, Ella Helms, Eden Helms, Emory Helms, Anna Lynn Brown, Hailee Brown, and Macy Brown; three great grandchildren, Meilani Stacy, Willah Stacy, and Landon Johnson; seven nieces, Morgan Locklear, Maddie Locklear, Juliana Gustofson, Miranda Gustofson, Vivienne Gustofson, Kristy Reed, Whitney Jenkins, and Lacey Groves; two nephews, Josh Locklear, and Clint Skinner.

The family would like to thank the Sardis Church Family and also the Bethlehem Emmaus Community for all of their love and support.
