Angilette “Angie” Lang, a resident of Cottonwood, passed away on Friday, February 14, 2020 in a local hospital. She was 72.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Wednesday, February 19, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday from 1-2 pm.
Angie was born on December 5, 1947 to Annie Laura Davis and Kermit Gothard in Clayton, AL. She lived the early part of her life in Panama City, FL, South Plainfield, NJ and Eufaula, AL. Angie eventually resided in Perry, FL for 25 years until moving to Cottonwood, AL in 2017.
Angie made a career at American Aluminum for 10 years where she earned the nickname Sunshine and celebrated her retirement. Angie loved everyone unconditionally and anyone that knew her would describe her as loyal, dedicated and being the boss.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Annie Sanders; father, Kermit Gothard; siblings, Marion Roger Gothard, Leonard Gothard and Annette Leathers; and daughter, Cathy Jenkins.
Angie is survived by her spouse of 29 years, William “Bill” Davis; her daughters, Tina (Rex) Bowman, Ann Marie (Mark) Lang and Heather (Barry) Lang; as well as her bonus daughter, Dorothy “Dottie” (David) Archer; twelve grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; and nieces and nephews.
