ECHO COMMUNITY. . .Anita Free Reynolds, a resident of the Echo Community in Dale County, died Sunday morning, September 22, 2024, at her home. She was 55.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, September 28, 2024, in the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, near Abbeville, with Reverend Henry Fullington and Dr. Stanley Outlaw officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 until 11:00 A.M. Saturday in the church sanctuary. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary & Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Pleasant Grove Baptist Church, c/o Claudia Trawick, 213 McClendon Drive, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Anita Reynolds was a native of Dale County, near Midland City, and was reared in the Bertha Community. She was a graduate of G.W. Long High in Skipperville and attended Wallace Community College where she received an Associates Degree as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Anita was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She was formerly employed by Westside Terrace and Henry County Health & Rehab as an LPN. Anita was preceded in death by her father, Omar Free, her mother, Betty Outlaw Halstead, her son, Wesley Wayne Reynolds and a brother, William Free.
Surviving relatives include her husband, Winston W. Reynolds, a daughter Haley Reynolds, both of the Echo Community; a daughter-in-law, Beth Reynolds, Columbia, TN; a sister, Teresa Johnson (Daniel), Dothan; brothers, Larry Bradshaw (Linda), Nashville, TN; and Vann Bradshaw (Dawn), Ozark; a sister-in-law, Karen Free, Nashville, TN; grandchildren, Wyatt Reynolds, Owen Reynolds and Brady Reynolds.
