A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. A prayer service led by Deacon Joe Mueller will be held from 5-7 pm on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at Sunset Funeral Home. Anne will be laid to rest in Wildwood Cemetery in Wilmington, MA.

Anne Loretta Flaherty Urtiaga, 73, of Dothan, Alabama and formerly of Wilmington, Massachusetts, died on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Flowers Hospital in Dothan.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Wednesday, November 30, 2022 at St. Columba Catholic Church with Monsignor Patrick Gallagher officiating. Anne was born in Winchester, MA on August 18, 1949, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Virginia Flaherty. Anne was one of seven siblings who were raised in Wilmington, MA. She was a very loving and caring person with a big pure heart. She loved all living things, Anne would rescue any animal that looked like it needed help, from dogs that may wonder into her yard to any frog that may have fallen into the pool. She enjoyed the outdoors, gardening and plants brought her the most joy. More than anything Anne enjoyed cooking a wonderful meal to share with her family and friends.
Anne is preceded in death by her parents, Martin and Virginia Flaherty and by her brother, Jack Flaherty.
Survivors include her loving husband, Daniel Urtiaga; her daughters, Erin Finney and Jeanne Finney; her son, Jack Finney; her seven grandchildren, Liam Dao, Emma Dao, Kean Dao, Grace Finney, Aidan Finney, Lochlan Odend’hal-Finney and Thomas Gonzales; her siblings, Martin J. Flaherty, Janet Flaherty, Thomas Flaherty, Mary Angles, and Lynne Melaragni; aunts, Florence McMahon and Marylee Fitzpatrick; and many brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
