Anne Mallory Stephens, 79, a resident of Dothan, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her loving family on Sunday April 23, 2017.
A Christian Memorial Service to celebrate a life well lived will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2017, at Grandview Baptist Church 2400 Forrester Road, Dothan, Ala. Officiated by Rev. Michael Grimes.
Mrs. Stephens was born on January 12, 1938, in Ozark, Alabama. She resided in Montgomery prior to moving to Dothan, in 1971. Anne spent her entire career working for the State of Alabama prior to her retirement in 1998. She was a devoted wife of 59 years, wonderful mother, proud grandmother, sister and friend, as well as longtime member of Grandview Baptist Church. She was a talented seamstress, crochet enthusiast, and avid reader.
Survivors include her husband Billy, 2 daughters, Nikki (Ronnie Williams) Hedrick of Midland City, Angie (Pete) Bowen, granddaughters Mallory, Kathleen, and Bailey Bowen of Orange, Ca., sister Sue (David) Hetrick, of Pa., several nieces and nephews, cousins, and an uncle.
Anne was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Irene Mallory of Ozark, brothers Gene Mallory and Doug Mallory, and an infant son Jeffery Stephens.
