Anne Wimberly Holder, a resident of Dothan and formerly of Cochran, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 31, 2018 at her residence with her family by her side.

A visitation will be held on Saturday, November 3, 2018 from 5-7:00 p.m. EST at Fisher Funeral Home, 122 W. Dykes St., Cochran, GA. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 4, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. at Fisher Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Longstreet Methodist Church, 107 Violet Street, Cochran, GA 31014.

Mrs. Holder was born January 20, 1937 in Cochran, GA and lived there most of her life until moving to Dothan in 2016 to be closer to family. She was married to her high school sweetheart, Jackie, for 62 years. She was a very active member of the Longstreet Methodist Church where she served as secretary and treasurer. Mrs. Holder was employed with Citizens Bank of Cochran formerly known as Cook Banking Co. until retiring after many years of service. Anne had a very caring nature. One of her greatest joys was helping people in need, especially the elderly as well as spending time in her flower garden. An avid reader, she most recently was enjoying a book documenting the history of Bleckley County. Everyone who knew Anne was touched by her gentle spirit and remembers her sweet smile.

Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Jackie Holder; daughters, Debra Holder of Dothan, Susan (Brad) Wilson of Cordele, GA, and Jennifer (Judd) Williams of Dothan; grandchildren, David Adams, Kendall Wilson, Olivia Williams, and Meredith Williams; brother, Jimmy (Marjorie) Wimberly of Cochran, GA; her fur baby “Lulu.”
