Annette Ward Hudson of Kinston, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was 78.  Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on on Friday, May 7, 2021, in the chapel of Pittman Funeral Home in Samson with Rev. Allen Marsh, officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery with Pittman Funeral Home of Samson, directing.  The family will receive friends prior to the service on Friday, beginning at Noon.

Mrs. Hudson was born in the Hacoda Community on May 26, 1942, to the late William L. Maloy and Ester Odom Maloy.  She was preceded in death by her husband, James Rudolph Ward; and all of four her siblings, Sam Maloy, Opal Johnson, Thelma Maloy, and Edward Maloy.

She is survived by her son, Dwight Ward, and wife, Evelyn of Kinston; and three grandchildren, Quinton Mims, Holly Stiles, and Shelby Lynn Watley.
