Annie L. Lawrence, 69, a resident of Dothan passed away Tuesday, February 10, 2015 at her residence.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Sunset Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor DeJuan Knight officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends from 10-11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
She was born April 28, 1945 to the late M.C. and Beula Davis of Ashford, AL.
She leaves in memory her husband Author Lawrence; three sisters, Reatha Davis, Donnie Mae Bowers (Tim), and Betty Jean Davis of Dothan; two brothers, Hubert Davis (Willie Mae), and Arthis Davis of Atlanta, GA; a step-sister Betty Wade of Georgia; one uncle, H. B. Howard; two aunts, Ethal Mae Davis of Ashford, and Ruth Davis of Florida; five step-daughters; four step-sons; fourteen step-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other friends and extended family members who loved her, including a special niece and caregiver who loved her and will miss her dearly Delois Grace.
She was a very caring person and lived her life according to the scriptures “Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. This is the first and great commandment. And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself” Matthew 22: 37-39 (KJV). She served at Mount Olive Seventh-day Adventist of Dothan.
