Annie Lucille Crockett Sanders, age 100, of Dothan, AL and formerly of Iron City, GA, passed away Tuesday, July 8, 2014 at Wesley Manor Retirement Center in Dothan, AL. 


Funeral services for Ms. Sanders will be held on Thursday, July 10, 2014 at 2:00 PM at the Iron City Baptist Church with Rev. Ellis Hardwick and Rev. David Williams officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service starting at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Corinth Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Chris Sanders, Jeff Hatcher, Tommy Sanders, Shawn Sanders, Drew Bloodworth and Rob Kennedy serving as casketbearers. 


Ms. Sanders was born on August 12, 1913 to David Titus Crockett and Fannie McNeal Crockett in Henry County, AL. She was a homemaker and a member of Iron City Baptist Church. 


Ms. Sanders is survived by her children; Jan David Sanders (Patricia) of Jacksonville, FL, Thomas Jerry Sanders (Anita) of Webb, AL, Kenneth Sanders of Valdosta, GA, Martha Ann Yearta (Lowell) of Dothan, AL and Norma Jean Rentz of Brinson, GA; her sister, Frances Williams of Orlando, FL; a daughter-in-law, Lomie Smith; Sixteen grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren with another expected July 22, 2014. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. 


She was preceded in death by her parents, David Titus Crockett and Fannie McNeal Crockett; her husband, Ruby J. Sanders; a son, Micheal Ray Sanders; her brothers, Cletus Crockett and Tullis Crockett; two sisters, Valeta Williams and Willie Barnhill; two granddaughters, Debbie Kennedy and Jill Hatcher; a son-in-law, Don Rentz and a daughter-in-law, Patty Sanders. 


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contribution may be made in the memory of Ms. Sanders to the Iron City Baptist Church.
