ANNIE PEARL BURDESHAW KELLY
COLUMBIA…Annie Pearl Burdeshaw Kelly, a resident of Columbia, died early Monday morning, September 30, 2013, in a Dothan hospital. She was 94.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Wednesday, October 2, 2013, in the Columbia City Cemetery with Reverend Don Tew officiating. Holman-Headland Mortuary is in charge of funeral arrangements. The family will receive friends following the graveside services.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to a favorite charity.
Mrs. Kelly was born in Dothan and was reared in Houston and Henry Counties, daughter of the late John Webb Burdeshaw and Clara Bell Jones Burdeshaw. She lived in Columbia most of her lifetime. Mrs. Kelly was a member of the Pleasant Plains Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, J.M. Kelly, a daughter, Vicky Kelly, a son, Marvette Kelly, sons-in-law, Chuck Housley, and David Simpson, three sisters, Willie Mae Hatcher, Ruth Hatcher, and Jewell Blackshear, and two brothers, Robert Burdeshaw and J.D. Burdeshaw.
Surviving relatives include four daughters, Joyce Housley, Columbia; Annette Simpson, Albany, GA; Janet Kelly and Kim Irvin (John), all of Columbia; two sons, Edward Kelly (Janis), Blakely, GA; and Billy Kelly (Charlotte), Dothan; a sister, Mable Raley, Pensacola, FL; a sister-in-law, Pat Gallira, Dothan; nine grandchildren, Mark Kelly, Jamie Chapman, Michael Kelly, Lisa Myers, Beth Neal, Neil Kelly, Kelly Irvin, Courtney Irvin, and Caitlin Irvin; nine great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
Serving as active pallbearers will be Mark Kelly, Billy Kelly, Neil Kelly, Michael Kelly, Tony Myers, and John Irvin.
