Annie Pearl Pullam of Samson passed away on Tuesday, October 2, 2018. She was 100 years old.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 6, 2018 at the First Baptist Church of Samson with Rev. Jim Pittman officiating and her granddaughters, Michelle Cooley giving the Eulogy and Lindsay Pittman providing a song. Burial will follow at Hurricane Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday beginning at 1:00 p.m.
Mrs. Pullam was born on August 3, 1918 to the late William and Vesta Elizabeth Broxson Pittman. Mrs. Pullam was a graduate of Leonia High School. She enjoyed being outdoors working in her vegetable garden and also fishing. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Samson where she loved attending her Sunday School Class. Mrs. Pullam was a loving and devoted mother and grandmother.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, James Pullam; nine brothers and sisters, Luta Sheffield, Dicy Weeks, Erma Stafford, Delcy West, Maudie Harrison, Olean Crowder, George, Alcus and Joe Pittman.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Jim Pittman (Jamie) of Lynchburg, VA; one daughter and son-in-law, Barbara McCollough (Jimmy) of Samson; two granddaughters, Michelle Cooley (Jay) of Samson, and Lindsey Pittman of Chicago, IL; five great grandchildren, Kayla Dunn (Cole) of Samson, Justin Aplin (Shannon) of Wing, AL, Hunter Aplin, Jackson Cooley, and Laney Cooley all of Samson; five great-great grandchildren, Jack, Graham, Taften, Ansley, and Branson.
