Annie Pearl Wood Campbell of Geneva passed away on Sunday, August 25, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was 86 years old.


 Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 in the chapel of Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home in Geneva with Rev. Steve Skidmore and Hospice Chaplain Jaden Shank officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Gardens Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 27, 2024 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m.


 The family will accept flowers or memorial contributions may be made to the Geneva Rescue Squad, 701 South Commerce Street, Geneva, AL 36340.


 Mrs. Campbell was born in Geneva, AL on September 18, 1937 to the late Archie Richard and Annie Bell Hughes Wood. Annie Pearl was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her grandchildren were the center of her world. She enjoyed spending time with them and watching them play sports and supported all of their special moments of life. She was always at their games and hardly ever missed one. Most of all, above her love and dedication to her family, she will be fondly remembered as the best southern cook there ever was.


 In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Frank Campbell; 2 sisters, Bessie Shirley and Addie Paul and 3 brothers, John I., Alfred and Jack Wood.


 She is survived by 3 daughters, Patricia Justice (Ronnie) of Geneva, Wanda Dixon (Jerry) of Geneva; and Linda Strickland (Donald) of Hartford; six grandchildren, Hannah Dixon Strickland (Justin Chet) of Graceville, FL, Heather Dixon Mikel (Adam) of Ardmore, AL, Justin Strickland (Sheena), Chelsie Justice, Ryan Strickland (Lauren) and Tyler Justice (Emily) all of Hartford; ten great-grandchildren, Addison Mikel, Marlee Strickland, Karis Strickland, Evan Mikel, Levi Strickland, Rhett Strickland, Asha Strickland, Lillian Nicole Justice, Everly Justice and Saylor Kate Justice; 1 brother, Eugene Wood (Joyce) of Geneva, AL.


 Serving as pallbearers will be Justin Strickland, Ryan Strickland, Tyler Justice, Levi Strickland, Wayne Wood and Blake Mixon


 The family wishes to thank Dr. John Simmons, Jr., Gentiva Hospice- Justin and Mary, Kenya Couch and Rose Robinson.
