A Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.

Anthony Dwayne “Tony” Oakley, a resident of Hartford, Alabama passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2022 at his residence. He was 59.


A Celebration of his Life will be held on Monday, June 13, 2022 at 2:00 pm in Sunset Funeral Home chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service.


Tony was born on May 28, 1963 in New Paris, Ohio. He was a truckdriver for AAA Cooper Transportation before working at Sunset Memorial Park Funeral Home. Tony was a very hard worker who enjoyed the outdoors. When Tony loved, he loved with his whole heart and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.


Tony was preceded in death his parents, Douglas Oakley and Sharon Horigan Oakley.


Survivors include his very special loved one, Gail Hicks, her son, Phillip Hicks and his daughter, Zoey Hicks; his daughter, Candace Oakley; his grandchildren, Aiden Boggs and Bailey Boggs; his brothers, Dennis Oakley, Ron (Renee) Oakley, David (Andrea) Oakley and Jeff Oakley; and several nieces and nephews.
