ANTHONY JEROME “ANDY” HARRIS
DOTHAN… Anthony Jerome Harris, affectionately known as “Andy” to his friends and loved ones, a resident of Dothan, Alabama, passed away peacefully at home late Saturday night, May 25, 2024, after a valiant battle with a extended illness. He was 60.
Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Thursday, May 30, 2024, at Newton City Cemetery, with Reverend Henry Small officiating. Family will receive friends following the graveside service. Wright Funeral Home & Crematory is in charge of the arrangements.
Andy was born on October 18th, 1963, at Southeast Alabama Medical Center, in Dothan, Alabama and graduated from Dale County High School in 1982. After graduating, he started as a car salesman at Rahal Toyota and worked his way up to general manager. For the next thirty years he managed several local and surrounding dealerships.
Andy had a huge love for the Crimson Tide, but not as much for the love he had coaching his son in peewee football, and sitting under the Friday night lights during his JV and Varsity years.
Mr. Harris and his daughter had a special bond. They loved doing outdoor activities like fishing and tubing down Bear Paw in Marianna, Florida.
Andy was preceded in death by his wife, Ronda Harris; his parents, Jerry and Barbara Harris; and his grandparents, Loui and Inez Wallace.
Survivors include his beloved daughter, Alicia Hutto (Martin); grandchildren, Brayden Davis (Emma), Jayden Davis, and Payten Davis; his son, James Harris; grandchildren, Sydney Harris, Shelby Harris and Zane Harris; his sister, Angela Robinson; his brothers, Richard Harris (Tracy) and Jeremy Harris (Misty); and his several nieces and nephews.
