APRIL  PRICE  MASCHMEIER




ABBEVILLE, ALABAMA. . .April Price Maschmeier, a resident of Abbeville, Alabama, died early Thursday morning, January 12, 2012, at her home. She was 66.


           


Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P. M. Monday, January 16, 2012, in the Holman-Abbeville Mortuary Chapel with Reverend Terry Davis officiating. Burial will follow in the Judson Baptist Church Cemetery, near Abbeville. The family will receive friends from 3:00 until 5:00 P.M. Sunday at the mortuary in Abbeville.


           


Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.


           


April Maschmeier was born and reared in Akron, Ohio where she lived most of her lifetime before moving to the Screamer Community on Lake Eufaula in 1991. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bernard  Price, Sr. and Mavis  Schultz Price, a sister, Alice Price and a brother, Bernard Price.


           


April was a devoted wife, loving mother and doting grandmother.


           


She is survived by her husband of fifty years, Frederick Charles (Fred) Maschmeier, Abbeville; three daughters, Elaine Prather and husband, George, Wicksburg, AL; Jennie Carlson and husband, Bret, Plymouth, MA; Alicia Seymour, Abbeville; a foster daughter whom she helped to raise, Rita Greer, Headland, AL; six grandchildren, Spec 4, Nicholas Bromelow (Tina), Gabriel Carlson (Jessica), Bret M. Carlson, Peter Carlson, Ricky Seymour and Derek Seymour.
