Arthur Wesley “Coot” Fulton, 70 of Wicksburg passed away Tuesday July 30, 2013 at a local hospital.

Funeral Services will be 11 am Thursday August 1, 2013 at Sunset Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park with Robert Byrd directing. The family will receive friends Wednesday from 5 to 7 pm at the funeral home.

Mr. Fulton was born May 29, 1943 in Houston County and lived in the Ashford area most of his life. He has resided in Wicksburg the past 8 years. Mr. Fulton was employed as a sub-contractor in the concrete finishing business. He was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed yard work, cutting grass and watching Humming birds. Mr. Fulton was of the Baptist faith. He was preceded in death by his brother Wendell Eugene Fulton and his parents, Bunkie and Myra Fulton.

Survivors include a special friend Carolyn Padgett; stepsons, Lee Padgett (Joanna) and Michael Padgett (Sherry); stepdaughters, Malissa Gilley (Mike) and Kim Dean; his daughters, Connie Fulton, Lori Barrentine (Alan) and Tonya Fulton; 16 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenny Wayne Fulton and Jerry Fulton (Pat); sisters, Beverly Sally Blalock (Joe); several nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Lee Padgett, Michael Padgett, Chase Pynes, Caleb Hamilton, Mike Gilley and Larry Soares.
