Augustine "Tina" Howell Anderson, passed away at her home on Sunday, January 29, 2017 from complications of Alzheimers. She was 82.

Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Wednesday, February 1, 2017 in Central Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Russell and Rev. Matt Galvan officiating. Burial will follow in Anderson Family Cemetery, Abbeville, AL. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 31, 2017 from 5-7 pm. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorial contributions be made to WGTF All Christian Radio, BBN, PO Box 7300, Charlotte, NC 28241.

Tina was born on August 25, 1934 in Wilmer, AL to the parents of Chase and Annie Vickers Howell and lived there the early years of her life. She was married to Paul Ray Anderson on August 29, 1953.

Tina was preceded in death by her parents Chase and Annie Vickers Howell and by her great-grandson, Andrew Lawrence Burkhalter.

Our beloved Mimi leaves to cherish her memories, her husband of 63 years, Paul Ray Anderson; her children, Don (Marsha) Anderson, Gainesville, FL, Karen Cox, Destin, FL, Randy (Lynda) Anderson, Wicksburg, AL, Sherry (Larry) Burkhalter, Tumbleton, AL, and Elisa (Randy) Soden, Bainbridge, GA; her grandchildren, Lauren (Scott) Balloon, Angela (Kevin) Mueller, Kathryn Fitzgerald, Clifton (Anna) Cox, Emily Cox, Jessica (Chris) Morris, Robert Anderson, Daniel (Amanda) Burkhalter, Bradley (Megan) Burkhalter, Catherine (Kartik) Gopal, Elisabeth (Jonathan) Perry, Paul Randall Soden, and Alexander Soden; her great-grandchildren, Camden Balloon, Kinley Balloon, Ansley Mueller, Fischer Mueller, Savannah Pitchlyn, Caroline Pitchlyn, Emerson Fitzgerald, Anderson Fitzgerald, Brodie Fitzgerald, Nathaniel Fitzgerald, Tripp Cox, Elijah Morris, Adelyn Burkhalter, Mason Burkhalter, Tucker Burkhalter, and Graham Gopal; numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as active pallbearers will be her grandsons, Clifton Cox, Robert Anderson, Daniel Burkhalter, Bradley Burkhalter, Paul Randall Soden, and Alexander Soden. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Scott Balloon, Kevin Mueller, Chris Morris, Kartik Gopal, and Jonathan Perry.
