Avie Williams Eyster of Geneva, AL passed away on Monday, February 20, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. She was 89.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Shawn Crosby officiating. Burial will follow in the Poplar Head Church Cemetery with Warren Holloway Ward Funeral Home of Geneva directing. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday beginning at 1: 00 p.m. and continue until service time.
Mrs. Eyster was born on January 19, 1928 to the late James Journal and Ava Rozadie Bryant Jackson. Mrs. Eyster was a loving mother and grandmother. She was an avid gardener and loved raising flowers. Mrs. Eyster loved the Lord, above all, she was a Christian lady. God, family and gardening was the order she lived her life by. She was a long time member of the Geneva Community Church.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by the father of her children, Hubert Williams, and her late husband Ike Eyster; one sister, Ruby Mixon and one brother, Bobby Jackson.
She is survived by her daughter and son in law, Wanda and Bobby Nowling of Geneva, AL; one son and daughter in law Glenn and Theresa Williams of Panama City Beach, Fl; four grandchildren,Jason Williams (Tara) of Clermont, FL, Joshua Williams (Heather) of Apex, NC, Damon Nowling (Susan Simmons) of Geneva, Al, and Marisa Williams (James) Geneva, Al; one sister, Betty Jean King of Westville, FL; and seven great- grandchildren.
