Barbara Kraut (Rood), 79, passed away on Thursday, December 13, 2018 in Dothan, Al. She was born on August 26, 1939 in Harvey’s Lake, PA., to Benjamin Rood and Marion Rood (Barney).
Graveside services 1 PM, Sunday, December 16, 2018 at Memory Hill Cemetery with Rabbi Lynn Goldsmith officiating.
Barbara was a loving wife of 43 years to Les, whom she enjoyed traveling across the country, especially on cruises. She sang many years on cruise ships, was a Choroleer for Radio City Musical Hall, and a debt collector for American Express, and finished her working career as a school teacher for Temple BethAm Israel. Barbara was known for being a wonderful cook. She was a member of the Temple Emanu-El in Dothan.
Preceded in death by her parents, and an infant twin sister: Brenda Rood.
Survivors include her husband Les Kraut, sister: Marjorie Bidleman, god children: Allen Manning (Michelle) and their children: Michaela and Rachel; Charles Kraut, and Ralph Moku (Nancy) and their children: Marissa and Ashlyn.
