BARBARA McMICHAEL BRANTLEY
ABBEVILLE. . .Barbara McMichael Brantley, a resident of White Oak Creek on Lake Eufaula, died early Sunday morning, February 26, 2017, in a Dothan hospital. She was 72.
Celebration of Life services will be held at 4:00 P.M. Sunday, March 12, 2017, in Lakeside Christian Fellowship with Reverend Mickey Skinner. Holman Abbeville Mortuary and Cremations is in charge of arrangements.
Flowers will be accepted or memorial contributions may be made to Lakeside Christian Fellowship, P.O. Box 218, Abbeville, AL 36310.
Mrs. Brantley was born and reared in Dothan and lived in the Tumbleton community of Henry County many years before moving to Lake Eufaula in 1998. She was a member of the Lakeside Christian Fellowship. Mrs. Brantley was formerly employed by the Southeast Alabama Medical Center. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joe Ben Brantley, Sr., a son, Joe Ben Brantley, Jr., her father, Junior McMichael, her mother, Willie Mae Sanders Goodwin, her step-father, Gene Goodwin and a brother, David McMichael.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Laura Money and Michelle Lee Hillman(Curtis), all of Abbeville; a son, Dave Preston (Julie Southerland), Dothan; a brother, Sam Goodwin (Sharon), Atlanta; six grandchildren, Ridge Skipper (Christina), JoCee Hillman, Dixie Segrest (Kalid), Kandace Money, Shalaina Preston, Curtis Hillman, III, and Brantley Platt; five great-grandchildren, Khaleesi Skipper, Kyli Baxter, Kade Scoggins, Abygale Segrest, Jessie Eli Jenkins.
