Barbara Sue (Whaley) Pratt, a resident of Jacksonville, FL, entered into eternal rest on Friday, May 15, 2020. She was 64.
Funeral services will be held at 4 pm on Saturday, May 23, 2020 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at Sunset Funeral Home on Saturday from 2:30-3:30 pm.
Barbara was a Fletcher High School graduate in Atlantic Beach, FL and a Liberty University graduate. She was a sweet, loving, wonderful person. Barbara was a prayer warrior for her family who always sought her guidance. She was a fan of Patriot’s football and enjoyed watching Tom Brady play. She loved to sing at church and was known for her beautiful voice, she was asked many times to sing the National Anthem at baseball games. Barbara owned Bobbie Sue’s Bakery while she lived in North Carolina. Her red velvet cupcakes, strawberry cakes, pies, and wedding cakes were some of the community’s favorites. Barbara attended Legacy Ministry in Jacksonville, FL.
She leaves to cherish her memories her husband, Laurence Pratt; her sons, Joshua Pratt and Jason Pratt; her father, Louis Whaley; her brothers, Gregory Whaley, Timothy Whaley, and Titus Whaley; her sisters, Brenda Walker, Lynn Gibbons, Leslie Marsh, Lisa Conover, Tabatha Hall, and Grace White; and a host of nieces and nephews including her special niece, Nivea Jackson.
