ABBEVILLE. . .Benjamin Franklin “Frank” Davis, a resident of Abbeville, died early Sunday morning, September 17, 2017, at his home. He was 81.
Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 19, 2017, in the Pilgrims Rest Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery with Reverend Joey Hudspeth officiating. The family will receive friends following the graveside services. Holman-Abbeville Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Kindred Hospice, 2740 Headland Avenue, Dothan, AL 36303.
Mr. Davis was born and reared in Henry County, son of the late Thomas Watson Davis and Frances Gamble Davis. He lived in various locations in the United States and overseas while serving in the U. S. Air Force. Mr. Davis retired from the U. S. Air Force with the rank of TSGT and was a veteran of the Korean and Vietnam War eras. After retirement from the military, Mr. Davis was employed by the BDP Company in Walnut, California. He was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Davis.
Surviving relatives include his wife, Susan Miller Davis; two step-daughters, Deborah Escareno of California; and Karen Noy of McKinney, Texas; a sister, Mary Strickland (James), Abbeville; four step-grandchildren and three step-great-grandchildren.
