Benjamin Jerome Brascomb

Benjamin Jerome Brascomb, a resident of Midland City, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, February 6, 2022 at his residence. He was 46 years old. Benjamin was born September 11, 1975 to the late Homer and Bertha Brascomb.

Funeral Services will be held 11 am on Wednesday, February 16, 2022 in Sunset Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10-11 am prior to the service at the funeral home.

Benji as he was affectionately called was born and raised in Dothan, Al on Donnie Mae Drive. He accepted Jehova at an early age. He attended Rehobeth High School where he was an athlete and a dedicated ROTC member. After graduating high school Benji joined the United States Navy. He retired after serving 20 years. He was a member of Throttle Up Riding Club out of Panama City, Fl where he was known as K.O.

He was preceded in death by his parents Homer and Bertha Brascomb and his sister Johnie Brascomb.

He leaves to cherish his memories his loving and devoted wife Deatrich Brascomb; six children: Filmon Bokretsion of Jacksonville, Fl, Myleka Simmons (Deandre) of Ft. Wayne, IN, DeAndra Mahone, Lanaja Brockton, and Willie Fedrick of Dothan, Al, Elina Brascomb of Jacksonville, Fl; seven grandchildren: two brothers: Homer Brascomb Jr. of Troy, Al and Tyrone Brascomb of Sosua, Dominican Republic; six sisters: Bertha Thompson, Mae R. Powe, Kattie Brascomb, and Ellen Brascomb of Dothan, Al, Ollie Boston (Willie) of Chipley, Fl, and Priscilla Brascomb of Midland City, Al. His best friends Mark Johnson (Tesha) of Atlanta, Ga, Terrance Nelson (Yananda) of Dothan, Al, and BeBe Smith of Panama City, Fl, and a host of other family and friends.
